User Researcher (UX)

Location: Remote within the United States; Conditions list Boston, Massachusetts

What you will do

• Scope and lead complex UX research initiatives for Auto, Property, and Specialty insurance digital experiences.
• Plan and execute discovery activities, including persona development, journey mapping, and analysis of user goals and behaviors.
• Conduct qualitative research through usability studies, interviews, focus groups, surveys, card sorts, and heuristic reviews.
• Collaborate with UX designers, Product Owners, content strategists, IT, Analytics, and business teams.
• Translate research findings and operational data into actionable recommendations and data-driven narratives.
• Present insights to business partners and senior or executive-level stakeholders to influence decisions.

Requirements

• 5+ years of UX Research experience in a corporate agile environment, or 3+ years with a Master’s degree in Human Factors, Human-Computer Interaction, or Information Design.
• Strong qualitative research expertise and the ability to convert data into actionable written and verbal insights.
• Experience with data-driven storytelling, visualizations, and research interpretation.
• Familiarity with Qualtrics, UserZoom, Design Thinking, and Lean UX.
• Strong organizational, analytical, critical-thinking, communication, and collaboration skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

Nice to have

• Experience in insurance, financial services, or another highly regulated industry.
• Experience with quantitative research methods and agile planning and development processes.
• Independent decision-making, strong business judgment, and adaptability in dynamic environments.
