Senior UX Researcher, Consumer Product (UX Research): Leading foundational, generative, and evaluative research to shape Reddit’s consumer experiences with an accent on qualitative methods, mixed-methods analysis, and product strategy. Focus on investigating user behavior across discovery, consumption, engagement, and contribution, connecting research insights with product metrics, and influencing roadmap decisions.

Location: Remote - United States

Base salary: $167,500–$234,500 USD annually, plus potential equity and commission depending on the position.

What you will do

  • Lead foundational, generative, and evaluative UX research for Reddit’s consumer product experiences.
  • Investigate user behaviors, motivations, needs, barriers, and opportunities across discovery, consumption, engagement, and contribution.
  • Design and conduct qualitative studies, including interviews, usability studies, concept testing, and diary studies.
  • Combine qualitative insights with quantitative data, surveys, experiments, behavioral signals, and product metrics.
  • Partner with product, design, engineering, data science, and other cross-functional teams to shape roadmaps and product direction.
  • Communicate findings through clear narratives, actionable recommendations, and storytelling for partners and leadership.

Requirements

  • Master’s degree, Ph.D., or equivalent experience in HCI, psychology, behavioral science, sociology, cognitive science, statistics, computer science, or a related field.
  • 6+ years of consumer-focused UX research experience, preferably as an embedded product researcher.
  • Deep expertise in qualitative research methods and strong judgment in selecting methods throughout the product development lifecycle.
  • Fluency in mixed-methods research and the ability to connect qualitative findings with quantitative data, surveys, experimentation, and product metrics.
  • Experience influencing product strategy and driving product or user experience impact through research.
  • Strong product sense, communication, storytelling, prioritization, and independent working skills.
