Location: United States, with listed locations in Portland, Oregon; Boise, Idaho; Seattle and Bellevue, Washington; Missoula, Billings, and Bozeman, Montana; and Spokane, Washington. U.S. citizenship is required due to government contract requirements. Travel for project and field coordination activities is expected.
Salary: $155,064–$221,520 in Seattle/Bellevue, WA; $122,759–$175,370 in Spokane, WA.

What you will do
- Lead the substation scope within large, multidisciplinary EPC infrastructure programs.
- Advise clients on substation site development, physical and electrical design, permitting, constructability, outage planning, protection and control integration, and equipment strategy.
- Coordinate engineering, environmental planning, permitting, procurement, construction support, outage coordination, energization, and commissioning activities.
- Serve as the primary interface between the owner, design teams, subconsultants, utilities, agencies, stakeholders, and EPC contractors.
- Identify delivery risks involving equipment lead times, design coordination, outages, system integration, and contractor execution, and support mitigation and issue resolution.
- Monitor scope, schedule, budget, quality, change management, and contract compliance while mentoring multidisciplinary staff.
Requirements
- U.S. citizenship required due to applicable government contract requirements.
- Bachelor's degree in a related field and at least 10 years of related experience.
- At least 5 years of project management experience.
- Significant substation design or EPC delivery experience, including high-voltage substations such as 69kV–500kV+.
- Strong knowledge of substation design standards, protection and control systems, permitting, construction methods, and collaboration with EPC contractors.
- Excellent organizational, project management, written, verbal communication, and multidisciplinary coordination skills.
Nice to have
- Professional Engineering (PE) license.
- PMP certification.
- Experience with EPC, P3, or DBFOM delivery models.
- Experience working in a Program Management Office environment.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office, estimating, scheduling, and project management software.
