Workday HRIS Analyst (Workday Canadian Payroll)

Base pay: CAD 61,221–68,873 per year

What you will do

• Configure, maintain, and optimize Workday Canadian Payroll and related modules.
• Translate payroll and business requirements into system solutions and partner with Payroll, HR, business stakeholders, Centers of Excellence, and Workday module leads.
• Develop and execute test plans, validate designs, identify enhancements, and recommend system optimizations.
• Provide Tier 2 payroll-cycle support, troubleshoot calculation and configuration issues, and document root causes and prevention steps.
• Manage the intake, assessment, prioritization, and delivery of payroll enhancements, break-fixes, and operational issues.
• Audit Workday data, monitor releases, support compliance, and prepare training materials and process documentation.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Information Systems, Business Administration, or a related field.
• 3+ years of hands-on experience configuring Workday Canadian Payroll in a complex multi-unionized environment.
• Proficiency in Workday configuration and Microsoft Office tools, including Excel.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, verbal, and written communication skills with exceptional attention to detail.
• Ability to work with payroll legislation, regulatory requirements, data security, privacy, and collective agreements.

Nice to have

• Workday Benefits, Time Tracking, Compensation, HCM, or other module configuration experience.
• Workday certifications in Payroll, HCM, or other Workday modules.
• Payroll Compliance Professional or Payroll Leadership Professional designation.
• Project management experience, acquisition experience, or experience with multiple collective agreements.
• Written and spoken French and English bilingualism.
