Intern (Finance) (Portfolio Reporting and Valuation): Supporting portfolio reporting, quarterly valuations, performance monitoring, and investor reporting across Carlyle's portfolio companies with an accent on financial analysis, data validation, and reporting accuracy. Focus on analyzing KPIs and variances, maintaining portfolio databases, validating valuation data, and coordinating with investment, fund management, and finance teams.

What you will do
- Review periodic financial and operational reporting from portfolio companies, tracking KPIs, variances, budgets, and business plan performance.
- Maintain portfolio monitoring databases and ensure data accuracy and consistency throughout reporting cycles.
- Support quarterly portfolio valuations by collecting and validating financial information and updating valuation materials.
- Coordinate with portfolio company finance teams, investment professionals, and the fund management team in London.
- Prepare portfolio reviews, valuation reports, investor reporting materials, presentations, and ad hoc financial and operational analyses.
Requirements
- Currently enrolled in a bachelor’s or master’s degree program, or recently graduated.
- Excellent academic track record.
- Native Spanish and fluent English, written and spoken.
- Strong Excel and financial modelling skills with excellent analytical capabilities.
- Interest in financial reporting, business performance analysis, and portfolio monitoring.
- Strong attention to detail, organization, communication, and ability to manage multiple workstreams and deadlines.
