Customer Applications Engineer (Power Electronics)

Location: Austin, TX, USA — 100% onsite. The role includes 15–20% travel to customer sites in Asia and the US.

What you will do

• Debug and validate digital multiphase power products at customer sites and solve complex technical problems.
• Develop detailed power management solutions aligned with customer requirements.
• Support system validation of new digital controllers, Vertical Power Stages, and Smart Power Stages.
• Collaborate with marketing, software engineering, IC design, and applications engineering teams.
• Create datasheets, performance reports, and application notes for customer engagement.
• Train other applications and field applications engineers on products and solutions.

Requirements

• BS degree in engineering, preferably electrical engineering with a power electronics focus, and up to 5 years of experience; or an MS degree with approximately 3 years of experience.
• Experience with firmware-enabled products and powering large-scale ASIC, CPU, or GPU applications in data centers.
• Experience with multiphase DC/DC converters for Intel, AMD, or SoC systems.
• Knowledge of mixed-signal IC and system design, digitally enabled power management products, and control loop theory.
• Proficiency with network analyzers, oscilloscopes, waveform generators, and other laboratory equipment.
• Experience automating laboratory testing and willingness to travel to customer sites in Asia and the US.
