Principal Applications Design Engineer (Power Electronics)

Salary: $130,000–$170,000 per year

What you will do

• Design new controllers and application-level power solutions for hirify.global products.
• Work with key customers and application design teams to secure design wins and transition designs into mass production.
• Develop, review, and release application notes, reference designs, demonstration guides, and industry documentation.
• Investigate customer and market requirements and define strategies for application-specific variations.
• Train worldwide Field Applications Engineering teams and support customer presentations of system-level solutions.
• Coordinate system testing, product validation, evaluation hardware, models, datasheets, and product-support tools with product releases.

Requirements

• BSEE degree and 10+ years of experience in power electronics design and/or applications.
• Experience engaging Tier 1 customers, securing design wins, and designing and troubleshooting customer systems.
• Ability to manage groups and projects, coordinate across departments, meet deadlines, and communicate critical design goals.
• Proficiency with oscilloscopes, network analyzers, EMI equipment, and other bench-analysis tools.
• Experience designing power systems with power components and troubleshooting complex power systems.
• Familiarity with PSpice, SIMetrix/SIMPLIS, MATLAB, Excel, Mathcad, or similar simulation and design tools.
