Electrical Engineer 2 (Power Electronics)

What you will do

• Design electronic schematics, bills of materials, simulations, and analyses for power electronics circuits.
• Execute electrical testing, characterization, and validation of power electronics designs.
• Define technical methods and criteria for power electronics qualification procedures.
• Create circuit board layout requirements, manufacturing requirements, process-control metrics, and implementation processes for printed circuit board assemblies.
• Develop optimized electrical, mechanical, and thermal solutions within schedule, technical, and cost constraints.
• Collaborate with engineers, engineering functions, suppliers, and partners to develop, execute, and verify power electronics products.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or an equivalent field.
• 2–5 years of relevant work experience.
• Strong fundamentals in electrical engineering circuit design, including schematic reading and electronics coursework.
• Basic proficiency in power electronics for motor controls and power systems, including regulatory requirements.
• Experience with SPICE modeling software such as LTSpice or Multisim.
• Familiarity with programming and interest in developing firmware in C, plus experience using oscilloscopes, multimeters, power supplies, and related test equipment.
