What you will do

• Repair and maintain diesel and non-diesel trucks and fleet equipment.
• Service chassis, refuse bodies, control systems, hydraulics, electrical systems, and air and hydraulic brakes.
• Perform light engine, HVAC, suspension, drivetrain, and steering repairs.
• Carry out preventative maintenance, inspections, tire work, welding, and fabrication.
• Provide road service and return equipment to safe operation efficiently.
• Diagnose malfunctions using electronic tools and complete company training programs.

Requirements

• Three to five years of technician experience diagnosing and repairing gasoline- and diesel-powered equipment, or graduation from an accredited automotive or technical school within the next three months.
• Experience with or knowledge of Class 1–5 light and medium-duty and Class 7–8 heavy-duty trucks, aircraft, or ships.
• Ability to diagnose multi-system issues and perform basic inspections with limited supervision.
• Working knowledge of vehicle suspensions, steering, engines, transmissions, brakes, electrical systems, hydraulics, drivetrains, and diesel emissions.
• Valid driver’s license required.

Nice to have

• Automotive Service Excellence certifications T1–T8.
• Commercial Driver’s License.
