Transportation Project Manager

Location: Vienna, Glen Allen, or Virginia Beach, Virginia; Fulton, Maryland, United States.

Expected annual compensation: $128,128–$183,040 in Maryland and $110,656–$199,680 in Virginia.

What you will do

• Direct and coordinate single- or multidisciplinary project teams from development and initiation through close-out.
• Manage complex small to medium projects or routine large projects, including budgets, schedules, staffing plans, and invoices.
• Coordinate multiple concurrent projects and manage staffing, workload, deliverables, and project financial performance.
• Build client relationships and participate in marketing, contractual, design, production, and project review meetings.
• Lead deliverable development sessions with staff and stakeholders.
• Implement QA/QC procedures and ensure projects meet agreed budgets and schedules.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering.
• At least 7 years of related experience, including a minimum of 2 years of project management experience.
• Professional engineering license recognized by the licensing board for the position’s location, such as a PE or P.Eng. license.
• Experience with MS Office and MS Project; Access experience is an advantage.
• Demonstrated leadership skills and commitment to active participation in an employee-owned culture.

Nice to have

• Master’s degree.
• PMP certification.
• Current residence in the Roanoke area.
• Experience with VDOT, DDOT, and/or MDOT projects.
