Construction EIT (Civil Infrastructure)

Location: Onsite in Wichita, Kansas; Kansas City, Missouri; or Overland Park, Kansas, United States. Travel to other site-based locations may be required.

What you will do

• Support Construction Managers, Resident Engineers, Project Managers, and construction inspectors throughout the project life cycle.
• Manage and track RFIs, submittals, project data, construction administration staffing, and response times.
• Monitor, record, and inspect construction progress on roads, bridges, railroads, buildings, water and wastewater facilities, pump stations, and pipelines.
• Prepare daily reports documenting activities, personnel, site conditions, and photographs for clients.
• Coordinate field materials sampling and testing, including concrete, soil compaction, and test cylinder procedures.
• Support estimating, procurement, project controls, client relations, site visits, and project reviews.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a closely related field.
• Engineer in Training (EIT) certificate.
• Experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills and the ability to work with design teams and project leadership.
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, understand operational and safety requirements, and apply QA/QC procedures.
• Ability to work outdoors, navigate construction sites in all seasons, travel to site-based locations, operate a motor vehicle under applicable state law, and pass pre-employment and subsequent drug and alcohol testing.

Nice to have

• At least two years of construction experience.
• Experience with Timberline, Primavera P3, SureTrak, Bluebeam Revu, Prolog, or Procore.
• Inspection or facilities certifications and knowledge of project management principles.
• Experience using construction-grade survey equipment.
