Project Engineer (Civil Construction)

Location: Belle Glade, Florida, United States; subsequent projects will be nationally based. Travel to project locations and regional offices is expected. The role is performed in a construction site environment with physical activity and exposure to high noise levels.

What you will do

• Support the Project Manager, Senior Project Engineer, superintendents, and project staff with technical project management.
• Communicate with owners, design partners, subcontractors, and the workforce.
• Review shop drawings, submittals, schedules, and RFIs while managing project document control.
• Monitor quality control, safety, and environmental programs, and assist with project layout.
• Identify critical work items, procure long-lead materials, and support delivery, inventory, and warehousing.
• Assist with billings, cash-flow projections, change orders, meetings, field problem resolution, and as-built documentation.

Requirements

• At least 2 years of construction experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in Construction, Civil Engineering, or Construction Management, or equivalent experience.
• Strong written and oral communication, time management, multitasking, prioritization, and attention to detail.
• Competence with Microsoft applications, Outlook, and project control and administration software.
• Knowledge of Primavera.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to perform physical construction-site work.
