Regional Director, Rare Disease, Neurology (South Central) (Rare Disease Neurology): Leading a field team responsible for launching, commercializing, and growing a neurology portfolio with an accent on strategic planning, coaching, customer engagement, and patient access. Focus on building high-performing teams, developing healthcare stakeholder relationships, and translating market and performance data into regional strategies across a multi-city territory.

Location: United States - Remote; field-based role covering Dallas, Houston, Kansas City, New Orleans, Phoenix, San Antonio, and St. Louis. Approximately 60–70% travel, including overnight travel, is required.

Annual salary: $225,900–$279,100 USD, plus eligibility for annual bonus and equity incentives.

What you will do

  • Lead, recruit, coach, develop, and retain a diverse team of Neurology-focused commercial field professionals.
  • Direct regional business planning, launch readiness, commercialization, and growth execution in alignment with national strategy.
  • Coach team members through field visits, performance reviews, and development planning.
  • Build strategic relationships with healthcare providers, Centers of Excellence, integrated health systems, advocacy organizations, and other stakeholders.
  • Partner with Medical Affairs, Market Access, Patient Services, Marketing, and Commercial Operations to improve patient access and business outcomes.
  • Analyze market trends, competitive activity, customer insights, and performance data while managing regional resources and compliant commercial activities.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree required; an advanced degree is preferred.
  • 7+ years of pharmaceutical, biotechnology, rare disease, or specialty field leadership experience with a record of commercial success.
  • Rare disease experience required; rare neurology experience strongly preferred.
  • Experience building and coaching high-performing teams while maintaining accountability, compliance, and talent development.
  • Knowledge of rare disease patient journeys, diagnosis pathways, treatment administration, reimbursement, market access, and site-of-care considerations.
  • Strong strategic account planning, cross-functional leadership, collaboration, influencing, and business analysis skills.

Nice to have

  • Experience launching or commercializing specialized therapies such as ASO or gene therapy.
  • Experience with academic medical centers, Centers of Excellence, infusion networks, multidisciplinary care teams, and complex healthcare systems.
  • Advanced degree.
