Data Architect, Corporate Services (Finance)

Location: Washington, DC; in-office 4 days per week

Base salary: $170,000–$190,000 per year, plus potential annual discretionary incentive compensation.

What you will do

• Own the end-to-end architecture and delivery of the Corporate Finance Data Warehouse across ingestion, transformation, semantic, and consumption layers.
• Design and build Snowflake data platform layers and govern dbt models for certified finance metrics used in Sigma Computing and Power BI.
• Lead migration from legacy SSIS, SSRS, and SSAS reporting, including metric translation, reconciliation, and retirement of legacy systems.
• Establish data governance, column-level lineage, data dictionaries, access controls, masking, and audit-ready SOX evidence.
• Implement finance knowledge graphs, business context layers, trust signals, incident tracking, and AI-driven data quality monitoring.
• Lead analytics and data engineers, contractors, and offshore teams while partnering with Finance, Platform, DevOps, Security, Legal, and Compliance.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree required; computer science, engineering, information systems, or a related quantitative field preferred.
• 10+ years of relevant data engineering or data architecture experience and demonstrated people management or technical leadership experience.
• Hands-on experience with modern cloud data platforms, Snowflake, dbt, ingestion and orchestration tools such as Fivetran or Airflow, and governed BI or semantic layers.
• Experience with SQL, dimensional modeling, Python, Azure and/or AWS, enterprise integrations, and production data quality, lineage, governance, and audit controls.
• Experience migrating legacy SSIS, SSRS, SSAS, or comparable platforms to modern cloud data architectures.
• Experience in financial services and exposure to production applied AI or LLM workflows are preferred.
