Sr. Enterprise AI Data Architect (AI)

Location: Baltimore, Maryland, United States; hybrid work with up to three days per week from home

Base salary: $121,000–$206,000 annually for Maryland, Colorado, Washington, and remote workers. Other listed ranges are $133,000–$227,000 for Washington, D.C., and $151,000–$258,000 for New York and California. Employees may also be eligible for a discretionary bonus.

What you will do

• Lead the architecture, design, and selective hands-on implementation of enterprise data and AI solutions from concept through production.
• Define end-to-end patterns for data ingestion, transformation, semantic modeling, retrieval, model orchestration, inference, integration, and deployment.
• Build prototypes and proof-of-concepts to evaluate technologies and validate architecture decisions.
• Design reusable agentic, analytical, and model-driven workflows using cloud-native and enterprise data platforms, including Snowflake.
• Partner with engineering and cross-functional teams to deliver scalable, secure, supportable architecture and align platform capabilities with roadmaps.
• Establish standards for metadata, lineage, governance, observability, lifecycle management, and enterprise architecture adoption.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• 8+ years of experience in data, platform, or solution architecture, including enterprise-scale cloud data and AI solutions.
• Hands-on generative AI, machine learning, or advanced analytics experience, including at least one end-to-end production use case.
• Strong AWS and Snowflake experience, including governed data access, analytics, and AI integration patterns.
• Strong understanding of data ingestion, transformation, semantic modeling, metadata, lineage, data quality, governance, and production deployment.
• Technical proficiency in Python or another modern programming language, plus APIs, orchestration, CI/CD, infrastructure as code, communication, and stakeholder management.

Nice to have

• Experience in asset management, financial services, or another highly regulated industry.
• Experience with Amazon Bedrock Agent Core and Snowflake Cortex.
• AWS Certified AI Practitioner certification.
• SnowPro Core Certification.
