Lead Technical Service Representative (Construction)

Location: Bethany, Connecticut, United States; onsite. Travel of up to 30% is required.

What you will do

• Provide advanced technical support to architects, contractors, distributors, engineers, homeowners, and internal customers through phone, chat, and email.
• Advise on material selection, installation methods, construction practices, and supporting technical information.
• Investigate and resolve customer complaints, including coordinating product orders and check requests.
• Coordinate technical support, training requests, field representative follow-ups, and job site visits.
• Train Technical Services Representatives, balance workloads, handle escalations, and provide subject-matter expertise.
• Create and review technical literature, data sheets, advisories, FAQs, CAD details, BIM content, and website tools.

Requirements

• At least 6 years of experience in the construction industry.
• At least 4 years of experience in technical services or comparable industry experience.
• Strong knowledge of architecture, construction methods, materials, applications, and hirify.global product lines.
• Associate degree or equivalent work experience, with demonstrated success solving complex issues and working on cross-functional projects.
• Leadership abilities and strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 50 lb repeatedly, with extended periods of sitting, standing, bending, squatting, climbing, or crawling.

Nice to have

• Experience with Salesforce and JD Edwards.
• Fluency in a second language.
• Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office and Outlook.
