Manager, Project Engineering

Location: Bethany, Connecticut, United States; onsite at the production facility. Travel 25–50% may be required.

What you will do

• Lead the capital expenditure portfolio and develop capital plans based on operational needs and improvement opportunities.
• Define project scope, costs, schedules, justifications, layouts, equipment specifications, and cost-benefit analyses.
• Evaluate and select industrial equipment while coordinating specifications, quotes, and delivery schedules with vendors, suppliers, and contractors.
• Manage project timelines, budgets, scope changes, purchase orders, invoices, and expenditure tracking.
• Coordinate equipment installation and manufacturing process start-up with suppliers, contractors, operations, and maintenance personnel.
• Lead team prioritization, performance management, training, process improvement, and operational support, including OEE, yields, and production efficiency.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering; Mechanical, Industrial, Chemical, or Civil Engineering is preferred.
• 5+ years of experience in a process manufacturing environment.
• Experience designing, specifying, acquiring, installing, and starting up industrial processes, equipment, buildings, and support systems.
• Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills, strong project scheduling and prioritization abilities, and the ability to work independently with limited supervision.
• Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office, Outlook, AutoCAD, and Microsoft Project.
• Must pass a pre-employment physical and be able to perform physically demanding work, including lifting, climbing, standing, bending, and crawling.
