Quality Control Technician (Construction Materials)

Location: Bethany, Connecticut, United States; onsite, third shift

Salary: $20–$21 per hour based on experience, plus a 15% shift differential

What you will do

• Perform QC laboratory testing and document results in quality control systems and the JDE database.
• Collect and retain product samples according to quality requirements and maintain laboratory records.
• Calibrate and verify QC instruments and maintain ISO 9001 traceability for certificates, safety data, and calibration records.
• Compare certificates of analysis with master records to determine product acceptance or rejection.
• Support root cause investigations, field complaint testing, batch adjustments, and nonconforming product analysis.
• Coordinate with production personnel and contribute to laboratory workflow, testing, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Requirements

• Associate degree in science or engineering, or 3–5 years of QC laboratory experience.
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook, with the ability to present technical data.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, organizational, written, verbal, and math skills.
• Knowledge of cementitious chemistry, epoxy liquids, latex, or related LATICRETE product lines.
• Ability to travel 0–5% and pass a pre-employment physical.
• Ability to lift and push/pull 50 pounds and perform extended periods of standing, sitting, bending, squatting, climbing, or crawling.
