Electric Utilities Group Leader (Electric Utilities)

Location: St. Paul, Minnesota, United States. hirify.global is currently unable to hire employees residing in Alaska, Arkansas, California, Connecticut, Delaware, Hawaii, Kentucky, Massachusetts, Rhode Island, Vermont, or Puerto Rico. Base compensation: $125,000–$175,000 annually, depending on skills and experience.

What you will do

• Build, lead, and scale the electric utilities business across the Midwest.
• Define the vision, strategy, service expansion roadmap, and 3-year growth plan.
• Develop distribution, substation, and transmission engineering capabilities, including overhead and underground services.
• Lead business development, grow revenue, and build relationships with municipal utilities, electric cooperatives, and investor-owned utilities.
• Recruit and develop a scalable, high-performing team with clear roles, expectations, and accountability.
• Collaborate with the Mechanical/Electrical practice and broader hirify.global teams to translate strategy into measurable execution.

Requirements

• Licensed Professional Engineer (PE).
• Experience in electric utilities, especially distribution and/or substation engineering, or experience leading and scaling multidisciplinary utility engineering teams.
• Experience with PLS-CADD, CYME, ETAP, or similar tools, plus physical layout standards such as IEEE, NESC, and RUS.
• Background in consulting engineering or utility operations/engineering.
• Direct experience working with municipal utilities, electric cooperatives, and investor-owned utilities.
• Must be authorized to work for any employer in the United States without requiring visa sponsorship now or in the future.
