Location: Brazil, Indiana, United States; onsite field work with variable schedules, on-call coverage, overtime, weekends, evenings, and holidays as required.

What you will do
- Complete new customer installations, repair equipment, and troubleshoot Headend, HFC, fiber optic, and home terminal systems.
- Diagnose local plant and customer-owned equipment issues using electronic test equipment.
- Read network design maps, verify as-built documentation, compare field conditions with records, and report findings.
- Splice and terminate coaxial and fiber optic cables; install, activate, and test aerial and underground network devices.
- Survey customer-requested service locations, prepare extension maps and drawings, and perform underground facility locates.
- Restore damaged plant, repair power supplies, monitor signal leakage, and train technical personnel as directed.
Requirements
- One-year college or technical-school certificate, or three to four years of related experience and/or training, or an equivalent combination.
- Successful completion of the Sparklight Technical Training Center Advanced Technician course within six months of accepting the position.
- Working knowledge of signal level meters, VOMs, leakage detection equipment, TDRs, OTDRs, and related test equipment.
- Knowledge of FCC, NEC, NESC, OSHA, DOT, and applicable local regulations.
- Valid driver's license issued by the state of employment.
- Ability to work variable schedules, respond to service interruptions, and complete required overtime and on-call assignments.
