Field Technician (Cable)

Location: Dyersburg, Tennessee, United States; onsite field work

What you will do

• Install customer service drops and outlets at residential and business properties.
• Use electronic test equipment and online diagnostic tools to troubleshoot service drops, outlets, and reception performance.
• Diagnose and repair issues from customer equipment through the output of the first distribution amplifier.
• Verify upstream and downstream signal levels at customer-premises terminations.
• Suggest service upgrades and educate customers about new and existing equipment.
• Work in the field, drive a company vehicle, and take on additional duties as needed.

Requirements

• Valid driver’s license in the state of application and a good driving record.
• At least three months of customer service or related experience and/or training; equivalent education and experience may be accepted.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Ability to work overtime and on-call shifts as needed.
• Ability to work in confined spaces, lift up to 80 pounds, use ladders, and work in all weather conditions.
• Regular and predictable attendance is required.
