Project Management - Design Engineer (Outdoor Power Equipment)

Location: Anderson, South Carolina, United States; up to 10% international travel required

What you will do

• Lead multiple low- to moderately complex engineering projects supporting mass production and continuous improvement.
• Develop project plans and schedules, identify critical path tasks and risks, and track progress against milestones.
• Report project status to senior management and project teams, covering schedule, cost, and risks.
• Lead technical trade-off discussions with product management and cross-functional engineering teams.
• Interpret engineering data and make recommendations involving simulation, materials and heat treatments, tolerance stacks, statics and dynamics, and noise and vibration.
• Coordinate supplier specifications and qualification testing for safety, durability, performance, and process capability.

Requirements

• Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering.
• Minimum 4 years of experience in a related field.
• Experience managing low- to moderately complex product development projects.
• Strong understanding of electromechanical systems, materials, and manufacturing processes.
• Knowledge of DFMA, cost modeling, teardown benchmarking, and root cause analysis.
• Strong analytical, communication, project leadership, and test planning skills; familiarity with CAD and project management tools.
