Senior Accountant (AI)

Location: Cranbury, New Jersey, United States; hybrid work schedule

Compensation: $100,000–$110,000 annually, depending on qualifications, plus eligibility for an annual bonus or commission incentive based on the role.

What you will do

• Perform and oversee month-end and year-end close activities, including reconciliations, journal entries, accruals, and analysis.
• Prepare and analyze financial statements, supporting schedules, and general ledger activity.
• Research accounting issues, resolve unusual transactions, and investigate variances and discrepancies.
• Support revenue, expense, prepaid, fixed asset, audit, tax, budgeting, forecasting, and ad hoc financial analysis activities.
• Partner with operational and business teams to explain financial results and improve accounting processes.
• Identify, evaluate, and implement practical AI and automation solutions for finance workflows, reporting, reconciliation, research, and documentation.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Approximately 3–6 years of progressive accounting experience.
• Strong understanding of GAAP and fundamental accounting principles.
• Experience with month-end close, reconciliations, journal entries, financial reporting, and ERP systems.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, organizational, communication, and prioritization skills, with advanced Excel proficiency.
• Demonstrated interest in AI, automation, and emerging technology, with the ability to apply them while maintaining accounting judgment, confidentiality, and internal controls.
