Maintenance Technician (Industrial Gases)

Location: Fairless Hills, Pennsylvania, United States; onsite plant work with travel to customer sites as required

Salary: $32/hour and up, depending on experience

What you will do

• Install, inspect, test, maintain, and optimize bulk tanks, valves, cryogenic pumps, compressors, scrubbers, instrument panels, motors, and electrical equipment.
• Operate and maintain equipment used to pump and repackage gases into cylinders.
• Diagnose equipment issues with standard test meters and perform repairs using hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and testing instruments.
• Weld, braze, burn, solder, repack compressors and pumps, replace filtration materials, and adjust or replace pipes and equipment.
• Conduct periodic plant checks, maintain a clean and orderly facility, and report accidents or injuries promptly.
• Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, vehicles, and other equipment, including travel to customer sites to support equipment needs.

Requirements

• High school diploma; one-year technical college education or equivalent experience is an asset.
• At least two years of industry experience is preferred, including at least one year of arc and gas welding experience.
• Experience with electrical circuits, motors, compressors, pumps, and drives in an industrial setting.
• Competence in plumbing, carpentry, and masonry work.
• Valid driver’s license required.
• Availability for a Monday–Friday schedule consisting of four 10-hour day shifts, with on-call duties required.
