Electrical Estimator 3 - Mission Critical

Salary: $92,160–$128,000 per year

What you will do

• Prepare complete electrical estimates for mission-critical projects, including labor, materials, administrative costs, quotations, and subcontractor pricing.
• Interpret civil, structural, architectural, mechanical, electrical, and low-voltage drawings and specifications.
• Lead pre-bid and final bid reviews, estimating kickoff meetings, job walks, customer interviews, and interview preparation.
• Develop scopes of work, bid leveling documents, assumptions, clarifications, and supporting bid documentation.
• Collaborate with Business Development, Sales, Preconstruction, Designers, Project Managers, and field leadership on bid strategies and project issues.
• Lead small estimating teams, support resource planning, and train and mentor junior estimators.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent, plus a two-year related degree or equivalent experience.
• 8+ years of experience in electrical conceptual estimating, low-voltage estimating, National Electrical Code requirements, and design-build estimating.
• Strong experience with electrical estimating software; Accubid or Enterprise experience is a plus.
• Strong knowledge of Bluebeam and Microsoft Office, especially Excel, with strong mathematical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Effective verbal, written, interpersonal, and presentation skills, with the ability to manage deadlines and changing priorities.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively while leading estimating teams.

Nice to have

• Experience training and mentoring Estimator I and Estimator II employees.
• Experience with Accubid or Enterprise estimating software.
• Presentation experience.
