Software Engineering Intern (AI)

Location: Hybrid, with 3 days per week at the Berlin HQ in Germany or the engineering hub in Iasi, Romania

What you will do

• Develop backend components using Python and FastAPI on AWS serverless architecture.
• Build frontend components using React and TypeScript, or contribute across the full stack.
• Contribute to foundational layers of the product used for AI-powered financial decisioning.
• Participate in daily syncs, planning sessions, demos, and technical deep-dive discussions.
• Collaborate with experienced engineers and participate in cross-team learning groups.

Requirements

• Fluent written and spoken English is essential.
• Strong engineering fundamentals, with a focus on simplicity and precision.
• Strong computer science fundamentals, including data structures, algorithms, networking, distributed systems, and databases.
• Passion for distributed systems and software engineering.
• Availability to work three days per week from the Berlin office or Iasi engineering hub.

Nice to have

• Exposure to AWS, especially Lambda.
• Experience with React or similar frontend frameworks.
