Senior Software Engineer (Data Search)

Location: Fully remote in Europe, with some overlap with GMT+3. Listed locations include France, Estonia, Germany, the Netherlands, Poland, and Czechia.

Annual salary: €100,000–€130,000, depending on location, employment type, skills, and experience. Stock options are also included.

What you will do

• Improve creator search across 400M+ profiles and billions of media files by working on retrieval, filtering, ranking, relevance, and speed.
• Build systems that generate and use multimodal embeddings from images, video, text, and audio at large scale.
• Evaluate models and technologies, balancing search quality, latency, and infrastructure cost.
• Move promising search capabilities from experimentation into reliable production systems.
• Own work end to end, including requirements, architecture, implementation, release, measurement, and iteration.
• Collaborate with Data Core, Data Insights, product teams, customers, and leadership.

Requirements

• Experience building large-scale data or backend products where volume, latency, reliability, and cost matter.
• Experience shipping products from concept through production and iteration.
• Strong understanding of distributed systems, throughput, failure modes, data flow, scalability, and operational tradeoffs.
• Experience building LLM-powered or agentic features in production.
• Ability to work autonomously on ambiguous problems and communicate technical tradeoffs clearly across teams.
• Experience with a fast-moving product environment and incremental delivery.

Nice to have

• Experience with multimodal embeddings, vector databases, semantic search, ranking algorithms, model deployment, self-hosted models, or GPU infrastructure.
• Curiosity about the creator economy.
