Technical Service Representative I (Construction Materials)

Location: Bethany, Connecticut, United States; onsite role with 25% travel, including some international travel

What you will do

• Provide technical service to architects, contractors, distributors, engineers, and other construction professionals.
• Advise on material selection for specific applications using architectural blueprints, details, and specifications.
• Draft product specifications, construction details, technical documents, and literature.
• Conduct seminars and presentations for construction industry professionals.
• Investigate and resolve customer service and product complaints within authorized limits.
• Support sales and field personnel, maintain job files, and identify leads for the sales department.

Requirements

• 3–5 years of experience in the construction industry.
• Knowledge of architecture, construction practices, building materials, and technical product applications.
• Technical communication and presentation skills, including the ability to respond on short notice.
• Intermediate Microsoft Office and Outlook skills, plus functional proficiency with ERP and CRM systems.
• High school diploma required; a degree is preferred.
• Physical ability to frequently lift and carry at least 50 pounds.

Nice to have

• Two years of technical support experience with building materials or products.
• Knowledge of hirify.global products, applications, and competitive materials.
• Experience with Oracle EnterpriseOne and Salesforce CRM.
• Fluency in a second language.
