Product Manager - Decisioning & Risk Platforms (Fintech)

Location: Hybrid role based in the downtown Chicago office at the Merchandise Mart, with in-office work on Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday.

Base salary: USD $95,000–$135,000 per year, plus eligibility for an annual bonus.

What you will do

• Own the vision, strategy, roadmap, and investment priorities for Decisioning & Risk Platforms.
• Partner with Business, Risk, Fraud, Operations, Engineering, Data Science, Compliance/Legal, and Design teams to deliver measurable outcomes.
• Define and modernize platform capabilities such as decision orchestration, rules management, model integration, experimentation frameworks, observability, vendor integrations, and internal tooling.
• Translate strategy into PRDs, user stories, workflows, acceptance criteria, API contracts, instrumentation requirements, rollout plans, and success metrics.
• Drive product delivery by managing backlogs, tradeoffs, dependencies, blockers, and launch quality.
• Manage technology vendors and monitor platform performance, decision quality, operational efficiency, and customer outcomes.

Requirements

• 8+ years of Product Management experience, preferably in fintech, financial services, risk, fraud, lending, banking, or another regulated industry.
• Experience owning platform products, technical products, or internal-facing systems with multiple stakeholders and customers.
• Experience with decisioning systems, underwriting, fraud prevention, identity verification, rules engines, or risk management platforms.
• Strong technical fluency in APIs, data models, distributed systems, system architecture, and platform design tradeoffs.
• Strong analytical skills with required SQL proficiency and experience designing experiments, A/B tests, and optimization initiatives.
• Experience partnering with Data Science, Analytics, or Risk teams to deploy, evaluate, and optimize production models; hands-on experience with AI-native tools is required.

• Familiarity with compliance and regulatory considerations in financial services.
