Spanish Bilingual Patient Access Representative (Healthcare)

Location: 100% remote, with working hours aligned to Eastern Time / EDT

What you will do

• Answer patient phone calls and chats, provide warm transfers, and deliver courteous support.
• Complete new patient intake and accurately schedule appointments according to clinic guidelines.
• Verify insurance information and patient eligibility using Availity and healthcare portals.
• Process eligibility notices, eFaxes, referrals, registrations, scheduling, and authorization follow-ups.
• Maintain patient satisfaction, review call audits, and participate in performance meetings.
• Safeguard patient privacy and follow HIPAA standards.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED.
• At least 3 years of healthcare or related experience preferred, including medical scheduling and customer service.
• Bilingual Spanish and English communication skills, verbal and written.
• Experience with electronic medical records software, preferably eClinicalWorks, and familiarity with softphone software such as 3CX.
• Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and insurance processes.
• Strong organization, multitasking, problem-solving, attention to detail, and proofreading skills.

Nice to have

• Prior experience using eClinicalWorks.
• Knowledge of insurance processes.
