Associate Director Supply Chain - Gene Therapy

Location: Basel, Switzerland; hybrid work with onsite presence typically required 2–3 days per week or more depending on business needs. International travel of up to 10% is required.

What you will do

• Lead the regional Gene Therapy Sales, Inventory and Operations Planning process using Kinaxis and Oracle.
• Direct product launches and lifecycle changes across global cross-functional teams, including ownership of related quality-system change controls.
• Define packaging configurations for new launch countries in collaboration with packaging, regulatory, planning, and market teams.
• Oversee distribution from US and European packaging sites directly to hospitals, including deviation handling and CAPA implementation.
• Manage KPIs, operational reviews, continuous improvement initiatives, and backup planning and shipping support.
• Serve as a subject-matter expert during audits and inspections for the gene therapy portfolio.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business, Engineering, Life Sciences, or a related field.
• 8–12 years of progressive supply chain experience in a GxP-regulated pharmaceutical or biotechnology environment; gene therapy experience is preferred.
• Deep knowledge of end-to-end supply chain processes, complex supply networks, and external manufacturing.
• Strong understanding of cGMPs, cGDP, pharmaceutical procedures, global distribution, and trade compliance for high-value products.
• Experience managing complex projects and multi-country product launches, with strong stakeholder-management and communication skills in English.
• Experience with Kinaxis, Oracle ERP, Microsoft Office, and SmartSheet.
