TL;DR

Location: Plainsboro, New Jersey, United States; office-based environment with 0–10% overnight travel

Salary: $152,700–$267,300 base compensation annually, plus eligibility for a performance-based company bonus.

What you will do

  • Advise senior leadership on trade, tariff, customs, and cross-border matters affecting supply chain, manufacturing, sourcing, and business growth.
  • Lead high-impact initiatives involving U.S. and global product flows, risk management, governance, and continuous improvement.
  • Interpret trade legislation, tariff regimes, customs requirements, and international trade developments.
  • Integrate trade and tariff considerations into product lifecycle planning, supply chain strategy, sourcing, and market expansion.
  • Collaborate with Corporate Tax, Supply Chain, Legal, Public Affairs, Finance, IT, external advisors, and industry experts.
  • Use technology, analytics, automation, and process improvements to increase transparency and operational effectiveness.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Economics, Business Administration, Finance, Supply Chain, International Trade, or a related field.
  • At least 10 years of relevant experience in corporate trade, tariffs, customs, supply chain, finance, consulting, law, or related private-sector roles.
  • Significant experience with U.S. trade, tariffs, customs, import compliance, or cross-border transactions.
  • Experience leading complex cross-functional initiatives and influencing stakeholders without direct authority.
  • Strong analytical, research, documentation, project management, communication, and business judgment skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, databases, spreadsheets, analytics, and trade or tax technology applications; SAP GTS, S/4HANA, or similar systems are desirable.

Nice to have

  • Advanced degree, licensed customs broker credential, CPA license, or another relevant certification.
  • Experience in pharmaceuticals, life sciences, medical devices, or another regulated industry.
  • Experience with enterprise trade or ERP systems such as SAP GTS or S/4HANA.
