Investment Associate (Real Estate Finance)

Location: Onsite at Scion’s Chicago corporate headquarters, United States. Daytime business hours are required, with additional non-traditional hours during peak periods. Occasional travel of 10–15% may be required. Candidates must be eligible to work in the United States; visa sponsorship is not available.

Base salary: $125,000–$150,000 USD annually, plus bonus and benefits.

What you will do

• Prepare and review financial models for prospective origination opportunities across investment structures.
• Research economic, demographic, and macroeconomic data to support senior management decisions.
• Analyze monthly asset and investment management performance, portfolio trends, and recurring reporting.
• Create internal and external reports using presentation software, data visualization, and clear communication.
• Manage relationships with consultants, investment sales contacts, and equity and debt partners.
• Conduct transaction due diligence, support asset transitions, and mentor junior analysts.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Economics, Finance, Statistics, Applied Mathematics, or a similar STEM program.
• 2–5 years of professional experience in real estate finance or a related field.
• Advanced financial modeling skills and high proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
• Knowledge of commercial real estate fundamentals and investment principles.
• Eligibility to work in the United States without visa sponsorship.
