Senior Associate, Direct Lending

Location: Addison, TX; Montpelier, VT; or New York, NY. Onsite work is required four days per week on Monday through Thursday.

Salary: $163,125–$239,250 USD per year.

What you will do

• Evaluate, underwrite, execute, and manage sponsor-backed, non-sponsor-backed, and secondary private credit investments.
• Perform credit analysis covering financial statements, credit risk, liquidity, capital structures, and due diligence.
• Build financial models for cash flow analysis, covenant compliance, and stress testing.
• Prepare investment memoranda and analyses for the Investment Transaction Committee.
• Review transaction documentation and collaborate with legal counsel, borrowers, investment partners, and internal stakeholders.
• Monitor portfolio performance, covenant compliance, financial results, and portfolio optimization opportunities.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.
• At least two years of experience in private credit, private equity, investment banking, or a similar financial services role.
• Experience with credit analysis, financial modeling, due diligence, and transaction execution.
• Strong understanding of credit markets, capital structures, debt instruments, and investment analysis.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
• Strong written and verbal communication, organizational, and time-management skills.

Nice to have

• MBA and/or CFA designation.
• Experience with private credit funds, investment banks, or financial institutions on direct investments.
• Exposure to secondary private credit market investing.
• Experience reviewing legal documentation for private credit transactions.
• Experience collaborating with external investment partners and managing joint investment processes.
