Senior Analyst, Investments & Acquisitions (Real Estate)

Location: In-office, on-site five days per week in Chicago, Illinois, or Denver, Colorado, USA.

Salary: USD 118,000–125,000 yearly base salary, plus annual bonus.

What you will do

• Lead and support underwriting for multifamily acquisitions, dispositions, value-add, yield-oriented, and opportunistic investment strategies.
• Build, audit, and refine complex Excel-based financial models, including valuation, discounted cash flow, sensitivity, debt, equity, and returns analyses.
• Evaluate asset performance, operating results, capital needs, rent growth, market fundamentals, risks, and value drivers.
• Support transactions from initial screening through closing, including diligence, pricing, valuation, buyer feedback, and recommendation materials.
• Prepare Investment Committee materials, transaction summaries, executive presentations, and supporting analyses.
• Collaborate with Blackstone investment professionals, brokers, operators, appraisers, consultants, lenders, and internal transaction and asset management teams.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in finance, real estate, economics, accounting, business, or a related analytical field.
• 2–4+ years of relevant experience in real estate investments, acquisitions, asset management, investment banking, deal advisory, transaction services, valuation, private equity, or comparable analytical finance roles.
• Advanced financial modeling skills, including discounted cash flow analysis, return metrics, debt and equity structures, scenario analysis, and transaction-level underwriting.
• Strong judgment, attention to detail, ownership, and ability to produce executive-ready work under tight timelines.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to interact with senior leaders, investment partners, and external counterparties.
• Strong proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint.

Nice to have

• Multifamily, residential, or broader commercial real estate transaction experience.
• Experience with acquisitions, dispositions, Investment Committee materials, valuation, diligence, or transaction execution.
• Experience with real estate data platforms, business intelligence tools, or investment management systems.
• Willingness to travel depending on team needs and grow within the Investments Team.
