Associate / Senior Associate, ABF Investments

Location: New York, New York; hirify.global Place New York, 225 Liberty Street, 8th Floor

Salary: $150,000–$220,000 base salary, plus a short-term cash incentive program.

What you will do

• Support the structuring of private investments for insurance balance sheets and explore bespoke structures across asset classes.
• Build and maintain cash flow and waterfall models for private asset-backed transactions.
• Participate in rating agency calls, analyze methodology and regulatory capital changes, and apply their implications to investment structures.
• Screen investment opportunities, conduct collateral and servicer due diligence, and prepare investment committee materials.
• Monitor portfolio investments against underwriting assumptions, identify emerging risks, and conduct market and sector research.
• Coordinate with legal, tax, accounting, asset management, analytics, risk, and other internal teams on transaction execution.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree with an excellent academic record.
• 2–4 years of experience reading and analyzing CLO or ABS securitizations, warehouse transactions, and asset-backed financings; experience across multiple asset classes is a plus.
• Exposure to rating agency processes and securitization methodologies.
• Proficiency in MS Excel, PowerPoint, VBA, and Intex.
• Ability to work concurrently across multiple live transactions and asset classes.
• Excellent organizational and verbal and written communication skills.
• Proactive, detail-oriented, intellectually curious, and motivated approach.
