Location: East Providence, Rhode Island, USA; onsite manufacturing and lab environment

What you will do
- Perform variable and attribute inspections on incoming materials, production items, and new products.
- Conduct first-article inspections and document findings in Microsoft Word and Excel.
- Operate micrometers, height gages, dial indicators, threaded gages, video measuring equipment, microscopes, and optical comparators.
- Manage calibration activities, inspection database records, schedules, and calibration certificates.
- Apply statistical process control to production runs, quality studies, first articles, and capability studies.
- Investigate quality and customer complaint issues, support corrective problem solving, and serve as the solder quality assurance technician.
Requirements
- Associate degree or equivalent and at least five years of prior quality assurance experience or equivalent.
- Ability to speak, read, and write English.
- Ability to read engineering drawings and knowledge of GD&T.
- Ability to use calipers, micrometers, and other inspection gages, and apply basic algebra and geometry.
- Intermediate proficiency with Microsoft Office and ability to work collaboratively.
- Comfort working with chemicals and ability to lift up to 30 pounds in a manufacturing and laboratory environment.
Nice to have
- Soldering experience and prior SPC knowledge.
- ERP experience, preferably SAP.
- Knowledge of plastic molding equipment and processes.
- ISO 9001:2008 experience.
- Experience with Minitab Statistical Software.
