Project Engineer

Location: Dallas, TX, United States; full-time onsite position

hirify.global delivers construction projects and requires project engineering support across scheduling, documentation, cost control, safety, quality, and closeout activities.

What you will do

• Attend and document project meetings, maintain electronic files, drawings, specifications, logs, and record sets.
• Assist with CPM schedule preparation and updates, procurement, expediting, submittals, and subcontractor document distribution.
• Evaluate field problems, document PCI items, maintain PCI and submittal logs in CMiC, and prepare extra work orders and change order documentation.
• Track labor quantities, cost codes, accounts payable workflows, estimates, and labor cost reports.
• Maintain site-specific safety planning, quality management systems, progress photo albums, punch lists, and project closeout documents.
• Perform basic Building Information Modeling and model administration functions.

Requirements

• Degree in engineering, construction management, or architecture; completion of a construction management certificate program or equivalent experience is also acceptable.
• 1–3 years of construction-related experience or equivalent.
• Basic understanding of construction cost accounting, estimating, scheduling, construction means and methods, and plans and specifications.
• Basic computer skills, effective organizational skills, independent judgment, and a self-starting approach.
• Effective written and verbal English communication skills are required.

Nice to have

• Construction-related internship or field experience, such as carpentry.
• Drafting and advanced computer skills.
• Knowledge of virtual construction technology systems.
