BTR Superintendent (Build To Rent)

Location: Austin, Texas, United States; daily reporting to the division office or assigned community is required.

What you will do

• Manage assigned build-to-rent units and amenity structures through the full vertical construction process.
• Develop and maintain construction schedules, recovery strategies, resource allocation, and cost-control measures.
• Coordinate subcontractors, BTR corporate and division leadership, property management, and the land department.
• Monitor quality, safety, compliance, cleanliness, and construction progress while targeting one unit start per day.
• Coordinate unit turnover and quality control with property management.
• Manage post-close warranty requests, trade scheduling, corrective actions, and quality assurance.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED and at least 1 year of construction experience, preferably with a production builder; completion of the TM360 Learning curriculum may apply.
• Knowledge of new home construction processes, scheduling, cost control, and all phases of residential construction.
• Ability to read and interpret construction documents, drawings, specifications, scopes of work, and project schedules.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and strong computer, written, oral communication, and organizational skills.
• Ability to report to the division or corporate office or community daily, operate a motor vehicle when applicable, and move around the work environment.
• Ability to remain stationary for up to 50% of the workday and frequently lift or move up to 10 pounds, occasionally up to 25 pounds.

• Bachelor’s degree in construction or a related field.
• BuildPro and SupplyPro experience.
• Experience building homes in a higher-density setting.
• Experience with hirify.global or successful completion of its training program.
