TL;DR
Technical Quality Control Technician (Turbomachinery): Performing in-process, receiving, and final inspections of precision turbomachinery parts, assemblies, and welded pressure-containing equipment with an accent on dimensional inspection, testing, traceability, and ISO 9001 compliance. Focus on applying GD&T and precision measurement methods, managing gage control, documenting nonconformances, and supporting corrective actions in an engineered-to-order manufacturing environment.

Location: Onsite in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania, United States. First shift, Monday through Friday, 6:25 a.m. to 2:25 p.m.; overtime may be required.

hirify.global is an industrial gases company; Rotoflow is its turbomachinery OEM business, designing, manufacturing, servicing, repairing, and upgrading cryogenic and warm gas centrifugal turbomachinery for industrial gases, petrochemical, and hydrocarbon markets.

What you will do

  • Perform in-process, receiving, final, periodic, and sampling inspections of turbomachinery parts, components, equipment, and assemblies.
  • Inspect fabrication, machining, assembly, and testing of complex turbomachinery components and welded pressure-containing equipment.
  • Apply visual, dimensional, dye penetrant, magnetic particle, weld, pneumatic, and hydrostatic inspection methods as applicable.
  • Prepare inspection reports, check sheets, test records, and quality documentation supporting traceability and customer requirements.
  • Manage gage control, including inventory, calibration, accuracy, measurement capability, and traceability.
  • Document and communicate nonconformances, support resolution with Manufacturing, Engineering, and Quality, and participate in continuous improvement.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED required; related technical, trade school, or associate degree coursework is preferred.
  • Minimum three years of quality inspection or quality manufacturing experience required, preferably in precision machining, heavy fabrication, pressure vessels, or engineered-to-order equipment.
  • Ability to interpret manufacturing drawings, inspection plans, specifications, standards, codes, and written procedures.
  • Working knowledge of ASME requirements, ISO 9001 quality management systems, GD&T, Microsoft Office, and SAP, MRP, or comparable systems.
  • Proficiency with manual precision measuring equipment; CMM operation or programming and quality certifications such as AWS CWI, API, NDT, or ASQ are preferred.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs., work in a manufacturing shop and union environment, follow safety procedures, maintain a valid driver’s license with a good driving record, and communicate quality findings clearly.
