Manager Project Engineering (Food Manufacturing)

Location: Plant-based engineering role requiring travel 50–70% to various plants in the US and Canada.

Salary: $105,100–$147,100 annually, with annual bonus eligibility.

hirify.global is a large baking manufacturer producing bread, English muffins, bagels, cakes, and donuts through a nationwide network of bakeries, sales centers, offices, and sales routes.

What you will do

• Develop and execute capital projects for baking and packaging processes, products, and equipment.
• Create project plans, budgets, capital requests, equipment specifications, and vendor proposals.
• Manage vendor selection, construction activities, change control, installation, troubleshooting, and training.
• Deliver assigned projects on time, within budget, and according to design criteria.
• Support plant teams with root-cause analysis, equipment performance evaluation, troubleshooting, and process improvement.
• Develop capacity plans and recommend solutions for production shortfalls.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
• 5–7 years of engineering experience, including experience managing large projects with assets exceeding $1 million.
• Experience creating, reading, and interpreting AutoCAD drawings.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Project for tracking project status.
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects, prioritize work, communicate effectively, and negotiate with stakeholders.
• Willingness to travel 50–70% and travel to plants in the US and Canada as needed.

Nice to have

• Experience in the food, pharmaceutical, or consumer goods industries.
• Controls systems experience with PLCs, drives, VFDs, Allen-Bradley, Siemens, Rockwell, or other comparable brands.
