Project Lead - Special Projects (Manufacturing)

Location: Chicago, IL, at the Aon Center; normal office environment with up to 50% travel across North America

Salary: $141,500–$176,900 annual base salary, plus eligibility for a performance-based bonus

What you will do

• Lead capital projects through front-end development, cost estimating, execution, commissioning, startup, and closeout.
• Manage project schedules, budgets, expenditures, risks, vendors, and completion reports.
• Coordinate technical development, engineering design, technical studies, specifications, testing, and issue resolution.
• Improve equipment reliability, maintainability, efficiency, quality, and lifecycle cost.
• Provide functional and technical support to factories to minimize production and maintenance problems.
• Serve as a technical advisor or project manager for PRC and other key support projects.

Requirements

• Bachelor of Science degree in engineering or a related field from an accredited engineering school.
• 5–7 years of full-cycle project management experience.
• Experience with capital project governance, vendor management, scheduling, risk management, and multiple concurrent projects across several sites.
• Strong knowledge of mechanical and hydraulic systems, packaging methods and materials, electronics, computer applications, and electrical systems.
• Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams on large capital projects or programs valued at $20MM or more.
• Ability to work flexible shifts, including days, afternoons, midnights, and overtime, with up to 50% travel required.
