Strategic Communications Leader

Location: Remote in the USA, with listed locations in Washington, D.C., Boston, Fredericksburg, Norfolk, Philadelphia, Pittsburgh, and Richmond.

Salary: $182,300–$243,000 per year, plus stock options.

What you will do

• Build and maintain relationships with Beltway reporters at major policy and political publications.
• Prepare messaging, facts, and response processes for congressional scrutiny, hearings, letters, and media inquiries.
• Connect policy developments and congressional actions to communications guidance and executive preparation.
• Draft responses, brief reporters, prepare executives, follow up, and manage developing stories.
• Collaborate with Government Affairs and Legal on communications related to LPR and drone technology.
• Support crisis, corporate, and product communications as needed while managing external resources and agencies.

Requirements

• 8–10 years of communications, media relations, or PR leadership experience.
• Heavy experience with Washington, D.C. policy communications, congressional issues, and hearings.
• Strong executive presence, including experience media-training and advising C-suite leaders.
• Established relationships with D.C. and Beltway press, or the ability to build them quickly.
• Strong judgment, leadership, writing, and hands-on execution skills in high-stakes environments.
