Communications Leader (Technology and AI)

Location: US Remote

Salary: $190,000–$230,000 annually for US-based candidates; candidates outside the US receive a location-specific estimate from the recruiter.

What you will do

• Lead communications strategy for technology and AI, building awareness and trust in the engineering and innovation behind the products.
• Drive positioning, media strategy, and launch plans for major technology and product releases.
• Partner with Engineering, Product, Data Science, AI, Security, Investor Relations, Policy, Marketing, and Communications teams.
• Translate AI models, platform infrastructure, and other complex technical work into clear narratives for investors, consumers, media, and industry audiences.
• Build relationships with technology, business, and trade media, analysts, and influencers while developing ongoing thought-leadership campaigns.
• Advise the Chief Technology Officer and Chief Product Officer on media opportunities, speaking engagements, executive communications, and issues involving AI, data, and privacy.

Requirements

• 10+ years of communications experience, including technology, product, and corporate communications.
• Track record leading communications for major product launches, technical announcements, or other high-profile moments.
• Deep knowledge of the technology and AI media landscape, with relevant relationships across trade, business, and consumer technology press.
• Experience translating complex technical work into clear communications and advising senior leaders across cross-functional teams.
• Experience communicating in environments shaped by technology, regulation, or reputational risk, especially AI, data, or privacy.
• Excellent writing, storytelling, strategic judgment, and data-driven communications skills; willingness to travel as needed.
