Pittsburgh Internal Audit and Financial Advisory Intern - 2027

Location: Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, United States; hybrid work with in-person work in the local office and client sites, including possible local or out-of-state travel. Interns must be available in the designated location during business hours for the full internship.

What you will do

• Collaborate with client service teams to deliver internal audit and financial advisory solutions.
• Support business process audit and advisory engagements by evaluating processes, risks, controls, compliance, security, and governance.
• Support technology audit and advisory work involving cybersecurity, AI risk, data governance, cloud, privacy, software development, resilience, and technology governance.
• Analyze data and information in different formats to identify insights and actionable conclusions.
• Apply AI tools, automation technologies, and data visualization tools to improve the quality and efficiency of client delivery.
• Participate in training, onboarding, professional development, and cross-industry project experiences.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in accounting, computer science, data science, engineering, finance, information systems, information technology, management information systems, or a related discipline.
• Must be within one year of final graduation at the time of the internship.
• Must be authorized to work in the United States for hirify.global without sponsorship now or in the future.
• Advanced verbal and written communication skills, critical thinking, analytical ability, and effective teamwork.
• Proficiency with AI tools for analytical and research tasks, including Microsoft Copilot or generative AI.
• Technical proficiency relevant to the assigned capability area, with an understanding of internal audit, data analysis, Microsoft Office, and data visualization tools.

Nice to have

• Experience with Power BI, Alteryx, Microsoft Power Platform, or Python.
• Entry-level knowledge of software development practices and methodologies.
• Interest in professional certifications and advanced analytics or automation.
