2027 Elevate Program and 2028 Summer Technology Risk and Controls Consulting Intern (Technology Risk Consulting)

Location: Chicago, United States; travel to assigned client locations may be required.

Compensation Range: $34–$40 per hour for internship employment. Elevate participation is unpaid, with conference-related travel and participation expenses covered.

What you will do

• Support technology risk management, internal audit, and assurance engagements.
• Assist with designing and optimizing controls across business processes, accounting systems, and information technologies.
• Identify internal control deficiencies, evaluate risk implications, and develop conclusions for client recommendations.
• Create internal control documentation supporting client engagements.
• Engage with client leadership on strategies for addressing emerging technology risks.
• Contribute to SOX, SOC reporting, IT controls testing, ERP audits, IT security reviews, and other technology control projects.

Requirements

• Currently enrolled in an accredited accounting degree program and working toward a B.A., B.S., or equivalent degree.
• At least 90 credit hours completed by the internship.
• Anticipated full-time associate start date of Fall 2029 or Winter 2030.
• Strong written and verbal communication, computer, multitasking, project management, and teamwork skills.
• High integrity and professionalism; reliable transportation for required client travel.
• hirify.global does not intend to hire entry-level candidates who require visa or work authorization sponsorship now or in the future.

Nice to have

• Minimum 3.4 GPA.
• Leadership in campus or community organizations.
• CPA, CISA, or CIA certification, or progress toward certification.
