What you will do
- Manage end-to-end accounts payable processes, including purchase orders, invoice verification, three-way matching, payment workflows, and payment proposal reviews.
- Oversee accounts receivable activities, including client invoicing, collections, cash application, receipting, and billing discrepancy resolution.
- Prepare month-end journal entries, balance sheet and general ledger reconciliations, management accounts, and financial close reports.
- Support forecasting, annual budgeting, financial analysis, and monitoring of performance against budgets and forecasts.
- Coordinate tax compliance, withholding tax, VAT/GST, corporate income tax, statutory reporting, and group tax reporting for Malaysia and Singapore.
- Support statutory audits, internal controls, royalty statements, finance transformation initiatives, and process improvement projects.
Requirements
- Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, Business, Economics, or a related discipline.
- At least 5 years of experience in accounts payable, general ledger accounting, financial accounting, or a similar finance operations role.
- Hands-on experience with invoice processing, purchase order workflows, payment runs, journal entries, month-end closing, and balance sheet reconciliations.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting, internal controls, and multi-entity finance operations.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial reporting tools; SAP ERP or Business Warehouse experience is preferred.
- CA/CPA qualification or progress toward a professional qualification is preferred.
