Hardware Test Engineer (Semiconductor ATE)

Location: Bayan Lepas, Malaysia; onsite, with no remote work

What you will do

• Coordinate the end-to-end design, RFQ, validation, buy-off, and production release of ATE hardware, including sockets, load boards, probe cards, and change kits.
• Act as the main technical, commercial, and operational contact for ATE hardware vendors.
• Manage ATE hardware budgets, request tracking systems, and inventory.
• Work with product engineering and operations teams to forecast hardware needs and support NPI timelines, revenue, and capacity.
• Perform technical evaluations, debugging, checkout, validation, and documentation for ATE hardware.
• Identify and execute gross-margin improvement and hardware cost-optimization initiatives.

Requirements

• At least 3 years of relevant experience managing semiconductor ATE hardware such as sockets, boards, change kits, and probe cards.
• Experience with hardware buy-off and release to production.
• Ability to translate technical needs into business plans and perform forecasting and data analysis.
• Ability to present complex technical and business data clearly to senior leaders.
• Ability to collaborate across international, cross-functional teams.
• Ability to read electrical schematics and interpret PCB layouts.

Nice to have

• Hardware design experience with sockets, kits, or boards.
• Knowledge of CAD or other hardware design software.
