What you will do

  • Perform detailed electrical failure analysis on advanced semiconductor devices.
  • Use SEM/EDX, OBIRCH, emission microscopy, and electrical fault-isolation and debugging tools.
  • Develop failure analysis methodologies for emerging technologies and failure modes.
  • Collaborate with design, product, test, and reliability engineering teams on reports and corrective actions.
  • Document observations, conclusions, and recommended solutions.
  • Provide technical expertise and mentorship to junior engineers and technicians while supporting continuous improvement.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s, Master’s, or Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering, Electronic Engineering, Materials Science, Physics, or a related field.
  • 2+ years of semiconductor failure analysis experience in high-volume manufacturing or an R&D environment.
  • Strong knowledge of semiconductor device physics, processing, and packaging technologies.
  • Hands-on experience with SEM/EDX, PEM, LIT, OBIRCH, LVP/EOP, and related failure analysis techniques.
  • Proficiency in electrical debugging and characterization, including curve tracing, logic analysis, and oscilloscope operation.
  • Strong problem-solving, root-cause analysis, communication, and collaboration skills.

Nice to have

  • Experience with statistical analysis tools and methodologies.
  • Fresh graduates with strong fundamentals and a passion for failure analysis are encouraged to apply.
