What you will do
- Conduct formulation, analytical, competitive, and product testing using internal, ANSI, ASTM, and other accepted procedures.
- Design and validate experiments to solve increasingly complex problems involving organic and inorganic formulations.
- Maintain laboratory equipment and ensure required calibration and validation activities are completed.
- Support field complaint evaluations, product inconsistency investigations, field trials, and customer or contractor interactions.
- Assist with production scale-up, write batching formulas, and follow new products through commercialization.
- Analyze, interpret, document, and present results, including formal project reports.
Requirements
- BA or BS in a physical science is required; Chemistry is preferred.
- Analytical ability in a laboratory environment, with organized, systematic, and detail-oriented documentation.
- Ability to analyze data independently and apply DOE and statistical methods.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills for technical presentations and reports.
- Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Office 365 skills and ability to use specialty software as required.
- Ability to lift and push or pull 50 pounds, and to stand and sit for at least 50% of the workday.
Nice to have
- MS in physical science or Chemistry.
- Scientific laboratory experience.
- Familiarity with patent research, invention disclosures, and industry publications.
